Rehoboth Road

When Reverend Oliver becomes the assistant pastor in the small Georgia community of Rehoboth in 1950, everyone agreed it was a stroke of good fortune. He was young, had a beautiful wife, and seemed just the one to bring new life to the Concord Baptist Church and community. Unfortunately, Reverend Oliver had a little problem; he couldn't seem to get the senior pastor's daughter, Elizabeth, out of his mind. The beautiful fifteen year old haunted his every thought until, overcome with lust, he catches her alone and rapes her. Elizabeth is consumed by shame and hides her pregnancy until, finally, she gives birth to a son in her high school bathroom. Reverend Turner, her father, did not believe her story of being raped and who her attacker was. He forced Elizabeth to hide his identity. He disowns her and her baby and refuses to allow them to return to the family home after leaving the hospital. Elizabeth was forced to raise her child alone.

REHOBOTH ROAD follows Elizabeth, her family, and the Oliver family through the decades as they try to deal with the secrets surrounding Johnny Turner's birth. These secrets that were allowed to brew, began to fester, and then the time came for the eruption that marked everyone forever.
